The Red Bicycle Coffee Café and Catering is a locally owned coffee shop and café offering the finest in gourmet coffees and teas. All our coffees are locally roasted and always fresh. Our daily selections include single origin light roast, dark roast, and DeCaf as well as our fine espresso and specialty drinks. Our espresso shots are pulled using beans ground fresh and tamped by hand.
The Red Bicycle Coffee Café and Catering proudly serves locally made baked goods and pastries to complement your coffee or tea selection. Fresh sandwiches and salads are made in house and are available to “grab and go” or can be made to order. Maple View Farms ice cream is available year round. Allow us to cater your next large or small event. Catering services include providing an on site barista, coffee and pastries, smoothie bar, or sandwiches. Please inquire about our catering services. There is no food or beverage service we can’t provide.
Our Story
After ten years in the military and more than 20 years in the corporate world Mike Johnson realized it was time for a change. Sitting in a coffee shop that was looking for a new owner he looked at his wife and said, “I think I’d like to try this.” On May 1, 2009, Mike became the owner of The Red Bicycle Coffee Café and Catering. He is proud to be a locally owned business in Chapel Hill, North Carolina serving locally produced products whenever possible.
